Funding Research & Raising Awareness of Invasive Group A Strep Infections
Conor's Hike took over from Conor's Cup as the main fund raising event in 2011, allowing the kids to join in too with Conor's Kids Hike!
Conor's Hike was launched by Conor's aunts, Gerry and Deb, who hiked the 84 miles of the Ridgeway.
Therefter a determined group took on ever increasing challenges each year, from the Wiltshire 30K Ramble to the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in under 24 Hours.
Thanks to everyone who hiked their way to blisters for the cause! Plus a special mention to 4-Most Ltd for the £2.7K they raised doing 17 peaks in 24 hours - madness!
About Us
Our aim is to raise public awareness of invasive Strep A infections - their causes, symptoms and possible outcomes - whilst raising funds to support research into their prevention, diagnosis and cure.
Conor's Fund provides financial support to the Gram Positive Pathogenesis Research Group at Hammersmith Hospital and Imperial College, one of the few research groups in the UK working to combat Strep infections.
